Some of you may know that I had a Garage Sale today. I haven't had one of those in forever. And it really went fairly well.....I made a lot more money than I had really anticipated. But what gets me here to writing about it is this.
I was going to try and sell some of my furniture inside so I had an excuse to redo my living room. Lots of people were interested in coming inside to see what I had to offer. No one was really interested.....I could tell. A hispanic family drives up - mom, pop, several kids - and just walk into my house while I am showing another family the furniture. I thought this was odd.....yes I have things inside for you to see but no I do not have a sign outside that says please feel free to come and go as you please. The family I am currently talking to decide they aren't interested.....they knew they weren't even before they saw it.....so I begin to focus my attention on the family that just barged into my house. While I am in mid sentence with them.....it sounds like an earthquake just hit the house.....like the ceiling is about to fall in. And I look up above their heads to my upstairs and there I see it. Their children have taken it upon themselves to RUN up my stairs as fast as they can and then RUN back and forth the hall upstairs really fast, going in and out of every room that I have up there. The couple didn't even flinch. The wife had asked me a question but I didn't even hear it. Some how the kids ended up back downstairs rumaging through gifts I had bought for my friends children......really pissed me off. So I turned and looked at the kids and said....GET YOUR GRIMEY STINKY LITTLE HANDS OFF MY STUFF AND GET OUT OF MY HOUSE......TAKE YOUR PARENTS WITH YOU! Okay.....maybe I didn't say that.....maybe I didn't say anything at all.......but I did think it...and maybe they could sense it.....because they left...kids in tote....without any of my furniture.......

Everyone has to have a hidden talent.....right?
I think everyone has a hidden talent. So I have been trying to find mine lately. So far I have come up with being able to lick underneath my chin....I mean, some people can touch their noses...why can't I touch the bottom of my chin? As you can see....this is how far I have gotten so far. I still have a ways to go but I know that I will get there. If anyone has any pointers for me please let me know.....or if you can do it let me know. OR if you can think of another hidden talent of mine.....let me know!!!! Loves, Beth the chin licker.....ewwwwwwwww!!!!

I swear I didn't eat a cookie!!!!!!!
I went to Dallas a few weeks ago to visit my adorable nephew JACK!!!!! It's just fun to say....JACK! Well......He is 5 1/2 months old and slurping down his pureed plums and sweet potatoes....BUT we thought that it was fine time to get him started on his sugars.....So we went to the store and bought sweet baby JACK some COOKIES. I'm not sure if any of it really got down but he sure had fun knawing on it with his gums and slobbering on it until the cookie just disenegrated into pure mush....to which Jack would want no longer. I have never been one to like messy kids....and he isn't messy really....but his mess....is just so darn cute to me. I'll take his slober on me any day. Loves you Jack!!!!!!
