Hmmmm......I haven't been able to write in a while and now that I have the laptop in front of me, I am drawing a blank. Welcome to my mind! It has been rather blank lately. You know when you have SO many thoughts racing through your mind all of a sudden - poof - nothing.
I read a quote today that I really enjoyed. It said something to the effect of, learn how to not focus on the red sports car, but the way the sunlight looks as it beams on it's shiny surface.
***I've been told that my blogs are hard to follow at times so bear with me***
The quote meant a lot of things to me. It speaks of not looking at the materialistic things - but to take in the way something makes us feel - the beauty of it.
I went outside today, and a bird had built a nest in my wreath. When I opened the door, woooooooooooooooosh, the bird made a beeline towards my head! I almost had a heart attack! I was jumping and swinging and screaming at this dang bird! Once I got my composure, I came back in and was studying the freshly made nest from inside. This little bird had been busy. It was a fresh nest abundant with bright green grass, some of it still wet with dew. I began to see how beautiful it was.
I also began to feel the beauty that was placed here in my wreath. What a token of love this nest was! Every once in a while I would just go peek up to the window and check out the new additions.
Really I was at a loss of words. These little momma birds working so very hard to make a perfect beginning to their chicks new lives. It was beautiful.
