Some of my likes........

*****I started on this list a while back......still not complete***********

Ok....so this is a little task I put in place for myself.......that covers my likes and dislikes. I'm hoping it will be fun, enlightening, and not depressing.

Oh yeah, and I really really hope that "likes" list is longer than the "dislikes" list..........

Let's start with the likes.......**these are in no particular order ok???**
1. For the love of pete, I LOVE wide ruled loose leaf paper. I don't know why but it's the writing on it part that I love.....
2. I love to WRITE......put me in the middle of something that inspires me and just let me go. I'd like to publish a book of my collections one day.
3. I love to read........really.....it's an addiction. I see all these books and I can almost see all this knowledge pour out from them and I just want more and more!! I want to know, have to know what these books know. I like informative books and books that draw you in to where you feel you actually know the characters and then you cry.
4. Music is another addiction of mine. I don't know what it does to me but I can get lost in it. It moves me into another dimension almost. I feel what the song is expressing and whether it's a song about the depth of a love or the pain of a loss......the way it makes me feel is always beautiful.
5. I love it when I'm walking up to a door and I'm a little ways away from it but someone will see me coming and wait a few seconds holding it open for me. :)
6. That first zing that your tongue gets when you pop in a sour skittle.....mmmmmmm.
7. I don't complain at restaurants so when I get a filet thats cooked to perfection.....that makes me happy.
8. I love ceramics.....making something piece by piece with your own two hands that doesn't look too bad makes me smile.
9. When I go buy CD's I like to open ALL of them when I get in the car and listen to a little bit of each one before I get to where I am going.
10. I love hugs......a nice firm both arms around you, hug.
11. I think that I like being naive.......it keeps me believing in the good of the world
12. I love art. Period. I love making it and I love looking at it. I am not good at but I love to do it.
13. Bic Grip Rollers. I love these pens so much, a friend of mine has actually taken a couple from the waitress while eating out and given them to me because I love them THAT much. I have a collection of four right now. And one is running out of ink - I catch myself getting nervous about losing them all.
14. I like to admire and look at beautiful things, but I don't really have a lot of them. For instance, I have a few pair of shoes. Serious. 1 pair of black boots, 1 brown boots, 2 tennis shoes, 3 flip flops, and a couple slingbacks. Purses? 1 white(actually looks brown now), 1 black, 1 brown, 1 red(new addition), 1 pink(mom gave it to me), and a lime green one - don't ask. I paint my nails very seldom, and I let it come of when it feels like it. This is a terrible one.......I haven't bought new makeup in about a year and a half to two years. I have a dress I wore the other night that I've had for about 7 or 8 years. I have one bracelet, one brown necklace, and a black one.
15. I think that I like not having a ton of girlie stuff b/c seriously....my decision making skills aren't the best if I have a problem picking between two accessories...imagine me trying to decide between 4 or more!
16. The Notebook. The book and the movie. I did a book report on it in college(man, I wish I still had all my papers). When the movie came out.....I was a disaster in the theater. There wasn't enough napkins at the concession stand to help me out. I couldn't breathe through my nose. I thought it was one of the most beautiful love stories ever.
17. My Nannie's chicken casserole. You gotta taste it.
18. Time with myself......it helps me recoup.
19. Different textures. Especially pictures of different textures. Yes, I'm talking smooth and shiny versus rough and spiky. Don't ask why.....I don't just come up with this crap. Maybe like a closeup of a red shiny bumper with a rugged black shined tire right next to it. Yeah, I know it sounds weird.
20. Pictures of times in my life..........it's fun to look at your progress over the years....even if there were some bumps in the road.
